Our Story
NICHA CCUS was born from a deeply personal journey that evolved into a breakthrough in industrial carbon innovation.
In 2016, the founder began developing an advanced alkaline water system with the goal of improving the health condition of his daughter, Nicha, who was born with a congenital heart condition. What started as a health-focused initiative soon led to an unexpected scientific discovery.
During the development process, it was observed that high-alkaline water systems demonstrated a natural ability to absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the surrounding environment. This insight marked a turning point — revealing the potential of alkaline chemistry beyond health applications and into the field of carbon capture.
From Discovery to Innovation
Building on this discovery, further research led to the development of ACM (Alkaline Ceramic Media) — a specialized material engineered to enhance alkalinity and significantly improve CO₂ absorption efficiency.
This advancement laid the foundation for a new class of carbon capture technology, where industrial emissions could be transformed through chemical interaction rather than simply stored.
Over time, these innovations were integrated into a scalable system — giving rise to the NICHA CCUS platform.
